Mr. Weisz has served as a director of the Company since November 2011, as our President since 1996 and as our Chief Executive Officer since 2011. Mr. Weisz joined Marriott International in 1972. Over his 39-year career with Marriott International, he held a number of leadership positions in the Lodging division, including Regional Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region, Senior Vice President of Rooms Operations, and Vice President of the Revenue Management Group. Mr. Weisz became Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Marriott Hotels, Resorts & Suites in 1992 and Executive Vice President-Lodging Brands in 1994 before being named to lead the Company in 1996. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Resort Development Association. Mr. Weisz is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Children's Miracle Network.
Mr. Weisz brings to the Board the extensive lodging and vacation ownership industry expertise he developed during his over 43 years in the industry, including 39 years with Marriott International, as well as corporate leadership experience from his service as our President since 1996 and his position as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Resort Development Association.
R. Lee Cunningham serves as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for Marriott Vacations Worldwide. He is also a member of the company's executive committee.
Mr. Cunningham began his career with Marriott International as a front desk management trainee in 1982. For the next six years he progressed as he served in various front office positions in Atlanta; Scottsdale, Ariz.; Miami; Kansas City, Mo. and Washington, D.C.
In 1990, Mr. Cunningham became one of Marriott's first revenue management-focused associates and spent the next seven years in various property, regional and corporate revenue management roles, including leading the effort to bring Marriott's revenue management techniques to The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. In 1997, he joined Marriott's timeshare division as the vice president of customer service operations and revenue management, and later became the senior vice president of product supply management overseeing the optimization of Marriott Vacation Club's inventory in all its forms. This included the allocation and pricing of sales inventory and occupiable villas.
Mr. Cunningham is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in hotel administration.
Clifford M. Delorey is the executive vice president and chief resort experience officer for Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation, and is a member of the company's executive committee.
A 30 plus year Marriott veteran, Mr. Delorey began his career in 1981. With extensive global operational experience, he has served in a variety of roles around the world including director of international operations for Marriott International in Bethesda, Md. In 2003, Mr. Delorey took on the role of regional director of operations for the Pacific Islands, Guam and Japan where he was responsible for 23 properties including four Marriott Vacation Club resorts.
In 2006, Mr. Delorey joined Marriott Vacations Worldwide where he served as vice president of operations for the East region, overseeing the region's operations team consisting of 15 resorts.
In his most recent role, Mr. Delorey served as vice president of operations for the Middle East and Africa region for Marriott International, leading 40 hotels in the region and an additional 46 that were in development within the next five years.
Mr. Delorey currently oversees the on-site management of Marriott Vacation Club and Grand Residences by Marriott resorts around the globe, provides oversight and coordination of the on-site management company for The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club resorts and is responsible for the development and financial performance of the resort-based ancillary businesses.
Mr. Delorey is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, R.I.
John E. Geller, Jr. serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation, and is a member of the company's executive committee.
Mr. Geller began his career in 1989 with Arthur Andersen in Washington, D.C., as a staff auditor and coincidentally, his first client assignment was Marriott International. In 2000, he became an audit partner within the real estate and hospitality practice. He moved to Ernst & Young in 2002, where he served as a partner in their real estate and hospitality practice. In December 2004, Mr. Geller left public accounting to assume the position of chief financial officer of AutoStar Realty - a real estate investment company sponsored by Staubach Companies and iStar Financial which focused on financing automotive real estate.
Mr. Geller joined Marriott International in 2005 where he served as senior vice president and chief internal audit and information security officer. From May-December 2008, he was the chief financial officer for the Western Region of North America Lodging Operations until he transitioned to his current role at Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation.
Mr. Geller holds his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University (University Park, Penn.).
Jeff Hansen serves as vice president, investor relations for Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation. Mr. Hansen began his career as an officer in the United States Air Force with financial responsibility for downrange Logistics and Operations squadrons in Europe and Africa. His career then took him to Cape Canaveral, Fla. where he served in a joint service capacity with NASA as the financial services officer for Patrick Air Force Base and Cape Canaveral Air Station.
In 2001, Mr. Hansen transitioned to the private sector providing financial analysis and management for the Southeast Region of Lincoln Property Company. Mr. Hansen joined Marriott's timeshare division in 2003 where he continued his financial analysis work focusing on new and existing Marriott Vacation Club and Ritz-Carlton Destination Club projects in the Resort Finance group. At the end of 2005, he left the company to join Resort Condominiums International (RCI) as product director for The Registry Collection, RCI's luxury exchange division. In 2007, Mr. Hansen returned to Marriott as a regional asset manager for The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club where his primary focus was managing partner and third party relationships.
Mr. Hansen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland (College Park, Md.).
James H Hunter, IV is executive vice president and general counsel for Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation and oversees all legal matters for the company and its global brands, Marriott Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club and Grand Residences by Marriott. He also is a member of the company's executive committee.
Mr. Hunter joined Marriott International in 1994 in the law department's international lodging group, where he supported development of all lodging brands outside the United States. In 1996, he moved to Hong Kong to lead and manage Marriott's lodging development legal work for the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Hunter's contributions expanded in 2000 to include responsibility for all lodging development legal work outside of North America.
Continuing in the same role, Mr. Hunter returned to Marriott headquarters in Washington, D.C. in 2001. In 2004, he assumed oversight of the law department's Americas development group, focusing on lodging development in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. Through his various roles with Marriott, he led a wide variety of transactions, including real estate development, joint venture, lease, debt and equity financing, management, franchise, purchase and sale and other transactions, in over 50 countries.
In June 2006, he was appointed senior vice president and general counsel for Marriott Vacation Club International and relocated to Orlando, Fla. He assumed his current position upon the spin-off of the company from Marriott in 2011.
Prior to joining Marriott, Mr. Hunter served as a law clerk to Judges Charles Brower and Richard Allison at the Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal in The Hague, Netherlands, and subsequently practiced law in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Hunter earned his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School in New York.
Mr. Hunter is an active participant in the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) and serves on ARDA's ethics committee and general counsel council. He also is the sponsor of the company's Street Law Corporate Legal Diversity Pipeline program and serves on Street Law's annual awards host committee.
Lizabeth "Lani" Kane-Hanan is a third generation hotelier with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. As the executive vice president and chief growth and inventory officer for Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation and a member of the executive committee, Ms. Kane-Hanan has been responsible for the company's expansion and development activities since 2011. Specifically, she oversees the resort planning and construction, development, inventory and revenue management, rentals and product innovation department. Her team's efforts support the Marriott Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club and Grand Residences by Marriott brands around the globe.
Prior to joining the organization in 2000, Ms. Kane-Hanan was part of the senior leadership team of the real estate consulting practices of Arthur Andersen and Horwath Hospitality in Miami, Fla. where she specialized in development, acquisitions and strategic planning for lodging, residential and mixed-use real estate projects and companies.
Ms. Kane-Hanan is an active member of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA). She serves as the chairperson of ARDA's Meetings Committee, in addition to being on the board of directors. Ms. Kane-Hanan is also the co-founder and president of Women in the Industry (WIN), a national non-profit organization - which in addition to its philanthropic activities - advocates, educates and connects women in the vacation industries. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the Recreational Development Council. She holds memberships in several other professional associations and is a frequent guest speaker for various universities, hospitality conferences and organizations.
Ms. Kane-Hanan received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in hospitality management from Florida International University (Miami), where she also served as an adjunct instructor and is currently a member of the Dean's Advisory Council.
Brian E. Miller is the executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer for Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation and is a member of the company's executive committee. Mr. Miller also oversees the company's global Customer Service Operations and its Internet activities. .
Mr. Miller joined the organization in 1990 as the national marketing director, and in 1994 he was promoted to vice president of marketing of the then division of Marriott International. After re-branding the company's flagship timeshare brand to Marriott Vacation Club, Mr. Miller was tapped to lead the business's entry into the European market as the regional vice president of Sales and Marketing for Europe and the Middle East.
Mr. Miller returned to Corporate Headquarters in 2001 as the senior vice president, Global Sales and Marketing. In this role, Mr. Miller oversaw the distribution of all company products including timeshare, fractional and residential ownership across all three of the company's brands; Marriott Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club and Grand Residences by Marriott. After the substantial adjustments necessary during the economic downturn, Mr. Miller was instrumental in the development and implementation of Marriott Vacation Club's new points based timeshare product which was introduced in 2010. He then assumed responsibility for the Customer Service operations, and in 2011, upon the spin-off of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation from Marriott International, Mr. Miller assumed his current position..
Mr. Miller is a graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.
Dwight D. Smith is the executive vice president and chief information officer for Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation since 2011, and is a member of the company's executive committee. Mr. Smith joined the company in 1990 from Marriott International's former Roy Rogers division, where he served in a similar capacity. Prior to joining Marriott, Mr. Smith spent six years with the Washington, D.C. office of Andersen Consulting, where he was a manager in the Advanced Technology Group.
During his 27 year tenure with Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation, Mr. Smith has led his team through periods of significant business growth including expansion into multiple brands and globally into Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
In 2008, Mr. Smith was recognized in Computer World magazine as one of the Premier 100 IT Leaders. This acknowledgement was due to his focus on building business and information resources alignment around shared goals, which ultimately delivered globally integrated and agile technology solutions in support of all products, brands and markets.
He earned his degree from James Madison University (Harrisonburg, Va.) in the field of management and data processing.
Michael E. Yonker is the executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation since 2011, and he is responsible for enterprise-wide human resources strategies, programs and performance. Mr. Yonker also serves on the company's executive committee.
Mr. Yonker's most recent role was vice president, human resources supporting global operations for the organization. He began his career with Marriott International in 1983 as an assistant controller at Marriott's Lincolnshire Resort in Chicago. He went on to serve in several management-level responsibilities in both finance and human resources, including multiple regional human resources leadership positions across various divisions.
Mr. Yonker has a bachelor's degree in marketing and business administration from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla. and a Master of Business Administration in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Ariz.
